Our very own Ian Siegner of Siegner and Company will be joined by his colleagues Scott Jacobs of Jacobs Strategic Group, and Jeany Park of Tree Swing Video, to give a presentation about a burning issue we are all facing, “Addressing the Skilled Labor Shortage Crisis in the Painting Industry.” In this presentation, Ian and Co. will share thoughts on the current economic situation, the specific pain points that the painting industry is facing today, and most importantly, they will offer some concrete solutions to help your company fill the labor gap.

Our Presenters:

Ian Siegner is the owner of Siegner and Company Commercial Painting and Wall Covering Contractors in Portland, Oregon. Siegner and Company maintains a core group of 40 painters year round, growing to 60 or 70 in the summer. Siegner and Company specializes in commercial repaints, new construction and remodel projects, tenant improvements, as well as difficult access and special coatings and stain work.

Scott Jacobs is the Principal of Jacobs Strategic Group LLC, a results-driven professional with repeated success in helping organizations thrive, by increase sales, revenue and profit. He has a track record of success as a leader in building/developing sales and marketing teams. In addition to Scott’s leadership, he has extensive experience in business advising and career coaching.

Over the last 15 years he has worked for industry leaders in the technology sector, including Financial, Legal, Higher Education, Retail, and HR Compliance Software. He has measurable success leading marketing, direct sales, and channel organizations while at Wolters Kluwer, Intuit, Navex, Axiom EPM, Prophix, APCON, and Orchestra Software. Scott earned his MBA from University of St. Thomas in Minneapolis and his BA from the University of Portland.

Jeany Park is the owner of Tree Swing Video, a boutique videography agency based here in Portland, Oregon. Tree Swing’s sweet spot lies in helping small-medium sized businesses share their message through recruiting videos, training videos, brand videos and testimonial videos. Some of Tree Swing’s past clients include Best Buy, Costco, City of Beaverton, Otak, Radio Cab, Propeller Consulting, Phillips Electronics Alarm, Fisher Roofing, NW MachineWorks, Cordant Wealth Partners, and Stevens IS. Tree Swing is a women and minority owned business, and Jeany is currently in the process of getting her PMP certification.
